Obama’s Tragic EBOLA Failure
Obama had two spectacular occasions to mobilize an effective attack on EBOA and he failed spectacularly both times.
The timeline is as irrefutable as Obama’s criminal incompetence – and I’m being kind.. Let’s use September 16, the day that Obama announced he decided to arbitrarily, and capriciously expose US troops to EBOLA as our starting point. From here we’ll show how Obama chose not to take steps to combat EBOLA in an effective, common sense manner either before or after that.
September 16, 2014- Obama announced that he would send the US military to West Africa
August 4-6, 2014 Ten days prior to ignoring the publicoutcry regarding needlessly putting our troops in EBOLA hot zones, Obama hosts the so called US-Africa Leaders’ Summit.
Unless you want to entertain the horrific possibility that Obama is truly flying by the seat of his golf pants we have to believe that plans for sending US forces to E BOLA hot zones were already finalized at that time. With that in mind we have to ask the following questions.
- Did Obama use this golden opportunity to successfully organize a Pan-African plan to fight EBOLA ?
- Did Obama successfully call for the creation of a combined force of African Military Forces to help quarantine EBOLA hot zones?
- Did Obama successfully ask the African leaders to provide additional forces to work with American forces so that Americans are either minimally exposed to EBOLA or not at all?
- Did Obama successfully call on African leaders to form a combined task force to organize medical and logistical resources to combat EBOLA?
- Did Obama successfully call on African leaders to help create a solution to the cultural problems that are interfering with the proper treatment and containment of EBOLA in the affected countries?
The answer to these questions is a resounding NO! In fairness we have no way, at this time, to know if he called for these measures and was laughed out of his own White House by the African Leaders or if he just didn’t bother to ask at all. What we do know is that Obama did the exact opposite. He sent American troops straight to EBOLA infected areas and so far we see no Pan African cohesive plan to fight EBOLA.
If one were to set out to put as many Americans at risk as possible while still maintaining some sort of veil, of plausible deniability, albeit a very thin and transparent one, this would be exactly the plan.
As “luck” would have it a great opportunity presented itself just a short 8 days after Obama sent US troops to EOLA hote zones, on September 26, 2014 when world leaders gathered at the United Nations to attend the meeting of the General Assembly. Surely this is what Obama was waiting for and he would not make good use of it to stop EBOAL and save the world!
Below is the selection of Obama’s speech that addressed EBOLA:
As we gather here, an outbreak of Ebola overwhelms public health systems in West Africa, and threatens to move rapidly across borders.
As we speak, America is deploying our doctors and scientists – supported by our military – to help contain the outbreak of Ebola and pursue new treatments. But we need a broader effort to stop a disease that could kill hundreds of thousands, inflict horrific suffering, destabilize economies, and move rapidly across borders. It’s easy to see this as a distant problem – until it isn’t. That is why we will continue mobilizing other countries to join us in making concrete commitments to fight this outbreak, and enhance global health security for the long-term.
The portion of Obama’s speech that referred to EBOLA was short, just 113 words – in contrast he spent 69% more time or 163 words to criticize America.
Most of the world didn’t know what to make of this. No doubt this was some strategy he used to tap into what Obama surely thinks is a the world’s deep rooted hatred of America and this would help united the world leaders and as soon as Obama would finish the leaders would rush to organize under Obamas’ leadership to save the world from EBOLA.
He did say after all that “we will continue mobilizing other countries to join us in making concrete commitments to fight this outbreak” didn’t he? The reality is that he is either unable or unwilling to do any such thing. As far as the “measures” needed, the world seems to be divided in two different camps. The countries closest to the EBOLA infected areas are hell bent on preventing citizens from Hot Zone countries from crossing the borders while the US seem to be hell bent on allowing individuals from Hot Zone countries to come here. There isn’t even a patina of “mobilizing other countries” and the only “concrete commitment” Obama has accomplished is to continue to allow practically unfretted travel to and from Western Africa and to commit US troops into a deadly environment with an open-ended mission, no concrete mission plan and without telling us when we can expect to get our troops home.
So again, just as after the so called US-Africa Leaders’ Summit, we have to ask questions that we really hoped we didn’t have to ask.
- Did Obama successfully convince the UN to organize a massive EBOLA fighting force?
- Did Obama successfully convince the UN General Assembly to organize a massive medical effort under the UN umbrella to fight EBOLA?
- Did Obama successfully convince the UN to carry out a massive logistics effort to provide the needed supplies to fight EBOLA in West Africa
The answer is no. Obama couldn’t or wouldn’t do any of the above. EBOLA does unfortunately have the potential to be a disaster of Biblical proportions and if Obama, the man occupying the most powerful position in the world, isn’t up to the task then shouldn’t he step down while humanity still has a chance?
