Don’t try to understand ’em. Just find them, rope and hang’em!
In between giggles Obama attempted to respond to former Vice President Cheney’s assertion that his limp wrist actions are endangering the safety of America. The man who got elected by mindlessly spewing left wing slogans and platitudes is under the impression that somehow continuing to spew these platitudes will change reality to fit his sick version of it.
One such favorite “emission” of the left’s oft-repeated by Obama, is that the GWOT as conducted by the previous administration has not made us safer, “how many terrorists have actually been brought to justice under the philosophy that is being promoted by Vice President Cheney? It hasn’t made us safer…What it has been is a great advertisement for anti-American sentiment, which means that there is constant effective recruitment of Arab fighters and Muslim fighters against U.S. interests all around the world.”
Of course fighting the GWOT has made us safer
Ahhh hey, Barry, don’t look now but we have not been attacked in seven and a half years of the previous administration. So, yeah, it has made us safer. How can someone be so divorced from reality as to ascertain the opposite.
Maybe Obama can give us examples of how we are safer with terrorists set free to do what they want as opposed to having them incarcerated in Gitmo or dead?
Muslim love and hate
I’m afraid that I have to take issue with Obama’s special insight into the sentimentality of the Muslim population.
One can’t help but wonder how is it that if we were so beloved by Muslims and Arabs prior to Gitmo and the GWOT, why were we attacked so often and why were three thousand Americans killed in one day, and why is there a big hole in lower Manhattan? If that’s the Muslim version of love, I’ll take their hate any day. At least we get to fight back and kill a lot of Islamist terrorists!
Killing terrorists results in more dead terrorists
As far as the argument that the more terrorists we kill the more will spring up as if by magic, that’s complete nonsense. By that logic, and given the number of Nazis and Japanese we killed in WWII, by now the world should be awash in millions of war crazed Nazis and Samurai. That’s not the case is it?
Unable to defend his position, Obama resorts to fiction. He does that a lot even without the Prompte. Per Obama, “The whole premise of Guantanamo promoted by Vice President Cheney was that, somehow, the American system of justice was not up to the task of dealing with these terrorists.”
Obama makes up the Cheney doctrine
What? Barry, are you punch drunk again? When and where has the former Vice President made any such assertion? The reason that terrorists are not awarded the rights given to human beings under our constitution is because they aren’t entitled to it and frankly because they don’t deserve it. Obama (raised in the world of Ayres and Wright and God only knows what other lunatics) cannot fathom that foreign terrorists aren’t as good as American citizens. Heck, some of the Gitmo detainees probably are better human beings than Obama’s friend Ayres.
In Obama’s world, there are no distinctions between terrorists and criminals. He even asks “How many… how many terrorists have actually been brought to justice under the philosophy that is being promoted by Vice President Cheney?” Well Barry, I can think of quite a few that were brought to the highest tribunal in the Universe by the Bush and Cheney doctrine with the help of the US armed forces.
