Bill O’Rilley’s comments regarding an Australian television program’ s “racism” serve to illustrate that true racism and ignorance is indeed institutionalized in American media, yes , even on FOX
The show in question featured a group of performers doing a Jackson Five impersonation. Four of the performers were white and had black painted faces along with Afros. The performer impersonating Michael Jackson had make up that contrasted with the others in that he wore white paint on his face( I can’t tell if he was black or white).
One of the judges, Harry Connick Jr,. felt compelled to make an idiot of himself by telling the show’s host that he felt offended by the act because “..we [Americans] spent so much time trying to not make black people look like buffoons!” Sure Harry , you actually believe that blacks in America are so insecure that they really care how much time you or anyone else spends making blacks look like buffoons? What a racist ignorant dolt! But that’s OK because he made sure to state that he was in fact speaking on behalf of America.
Seriously folks who in their right mind sees the video below and thinks it is a comment on American blacks? You want to know who? Someone who is afraid to project their own racism and feels compelled to make a show out of how offended he is that’s who. Normal people just laugh either at or with the performers.
Enter O’Riley and Gretchen Carlson and some other FOX info nitwit babe whose name escapes me. Unanimously they all applauded and agreed with Connick’s stupidity but O’Rilley went further.
In a very successful attempt to prove to the world what a smug elitist he is O’Riley saw fit to issue the racial correctness edict for the New World Order: “If the actors were black then it would have been OK!”- thundered O’Riley from Olympus
WTF? So according to O”rilley , we now have different laws that apply differently to people based on SKIN COLOR?
Do O’Rilley, Gretchen and FOX think that this O’Riley issued law should apply to other races or only to blacks? If so there is a name for that and like “retarded” it also starts with an “r”. If the FOX brain trust doesn’t think that O’Riley’s edict should apply only to blacks then are Jews not allowed to portray whites in a comedic manner- how may comedians would have to actually do real work for a living if that was the case? How about Hispanics can they portray Whites or Blacks or Jews or Orientals or Arabs in a humorous or embarrassing manner? How about the other way around? How many black comedians portray whites as buffoons? I don’t remember O’Rilley or Connick or Gretchen get their panties in a bunch over that!
The media’s racism is alive and well and whether by ignorance or by design , O’Riley and FOX are part an parcel of it!
